Juventus did enough this evening to prevent a valiant Maccabi Haifa team from earning their first Champions League points.  The Bianconeri earned a crucial victory with two goals from Adrien Rabiot and Dusan Vlahovic, with summer acquisition Angel Di Maria providing assists on all three scores.

It’s a crucial three points for Allegri’s team, who left the field to learn that Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica had drawn another group H match.  Juve currently sits in third place, four points behind PSG and Benfica, but the group will suddenly become much more competitive if they win in Haifa the following week.

At the half, Benzema had made four crucial passes, while Vinicius Jr. had five shots and several spectacular dribbles that had the Bernabeu on its feet.

Rodrygo, who was listed as a right winger, was anything but that. He performed flawlessly as a 10 in his function. He moved to both flanks and freely interacted with everyone as he traversed the entire field.

He played close-knit football with the rest of the attack and gave Toni Kroos and Aurelien Tchouameni vertical outlets. Rodrygo took on various roles as Fede Valverde, and Dani Carvajal occupied the right wing.

The home team, who has only won one of their ten games this season, had a perfect opportunity to tie the score. Still, Dortmund goalkeeper Alexander Meyer made an incredible save to stop En-Nesyri’s header.

Following a corner kick from Jose Angel Carmona, Dortmund scored twice in quick succession through Bellingham and Adeyemi, leaving Sevilla with a significant uphill battle even after En-goal Nesyri’s in the 51st minute.

As the hosts gradually lost energy and Dortmund had more room to attack, Sevilla’s pressure subsided. Youssoufa Moukoko chipped the ball into the box, where Brandt headed the ball home for their fourth goal.

5. Benfica Vs PSG
