Manchester United Agrees Deal To Sign Adrien Rabiot, Juventus midfielder

About Manchester United

Located in Manchester, England’s Old Trafford district, Manchester United is a professional football team. The club participates in the Premier League, which is the top tier of the present English football league structure.

Newton Heath LYR Football Club, also known as the Red Devils, was established in 1878. In 1902, the organization’s name was changed to Manchester United. In 1910, the team relocated from Newton Heath to its current venue, Old Trafford.

Who Is Andrien Rabiot?

A central midfielder for Serie A team Juventus as well as the France national team, Andrien Rabiot is a French professional football player.

Rabiot played 45 times for Juventus last season, including 32 Serie A appearances. However, he is not on the team’s 2022–23 roster.

Between 2012 and 2019, the midfielder made 227 appearances for PSG and won five Ligue 1 championships, four Coupe de France trophies, and five Coupe de la Ligue crowns.

Rabiot has also earned 29 caps for France, twice scoring, and he participated in three of their four June UEFA Nations League games.

He would improve a part of the field that had trouble last year. Fred and Scott McTominay have also come under fire for their actions during Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion.

With a salary of €7 million annually, the France international ranks among Juventus’ biggest earners. He was a free agent when he joined Bianconeri in 2019. Therefore, any sale would result in a profit for the Serie A powerhouse.

Because Rabiot’s contract with Juventus expires in 2023, the club is happy to let him depart this summer.

Rabiot Desire To Join Premier League team

Rabiot has long been interested in joining a Premier League team, and United has been keeping an eye on him since Louis van Gaal took over as manager.

After a contract to join Roma fell through, Rabiot’s mother, Veronique Rabiot, convinced United to make a summer 2014 transfer window bid for her son.

Rabiot was being watched by United in 2019, but their failure to make the Champions League eliminated any possibility of a transfer. Therefore, he joined Juventus on a free transfer from PSG.

Rabiot would want to go for an English club that has made the Champions League, but talks have not yet begun.

The international from France is eager to play in the Premier League and is motivated to thrive in England.

Davide Frattesi of Sassuolo has been an amazing option for Juventus to replace Rabiot. The 22-year-old has been in excellent form, and Max Allegri might turn to the south once more for a solution after successfully bringing in Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo last summer.

Frattesi would cost in the range of €15–20 million, which is roughly in line with the €17 million they anticipate getting for Rabiot.

Adrien Rabiot Approached By Manchester United

Adrien Rabiot has been chosen by Manchester United as a replacement for Frenkie de Jong.

The Red Devils, who lost to Brighton 2-1 on the first day of the Premier League season, indicated a desire to sign Rabiot to an Old Trafford contract.

Manchester United strengthened their midfield after losing to Brighton on the opening weekend by signing Adrien Rabiot.

De Jong has also been in the talks. Before the transfer deadline, Ten Hag was eager to bolster his midfield, but the problem of deferred pay has so far thwarted attempts to get Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona that the LaLiga club owes De Jong.

Although United have so far declined to increase their offer to cover De Jong’s unpaid wages, there are concerns Chelsea may accept an inflated offer and win the race to get him.

But negotiations for De Jong are still going on. He can be considered an option in the interim. If the Dutch star isn’t signed by the end of the transfer window, the Red Devils must take care to avoid seeming foolish.

Prior to a potential deal, the Red Devils have not yet discussed personal terms with the midfielder.

The former PSG player, considered a great possibility, would also have to agree to personal terms with them.

Juventus To Reevaluate Its Transfer Market

Additionally, Rabiot has been in talks with Monaco, who had been in the lead for his signing, but the Frenchman’s high salaries are causing problems, and United are now in the running to get him.

AS Monaco has made contact with Juventus over a transfer for midfielder Adrien Rabiot. Since his free transfer to Turin in 2019 for the Old Lady, the France international has been a crucial member of the team. For the Bianconeri, he has made 129 appearances and contributed six goals and six assists.

He made 45 appearances in all competitions during the 2021–22 season, providing two assists in the process.

Given that Paul Pogba is already out injured, Juventus is rather lacking in choices in the midfield.

Paul Pogba’s injury is, unfortunately, forcing Juventus to reevaluate its transfer market approach, particularly in the middle of the field.

The Frenchman, who is expected to be the true captain of the midfield group, will now be sidelined for the first few months of the forthcoming season due to a meniscus injury.

Ruben Neves or Fabian Ruiz, both of whom PSG is interested in, would be other, more ambitious choices that United may consider.

Adrien Rabiot Current Cost

Given his contract, Rabiot would probably cost United around £20 million, and this appears to be the motivating cause.

The France international has struggled to contribute much since joining Juventus on a free transfer from PSG, and trouble always seems to surround him. Veronique, his mother and agent is never far behind.

According to rumors, Adrien Rabiot’s mother and agency are blocking Manchester United from reaching a personal agreement with the midfielder, who may possibly end up leaving before the summer transfer window closes. The Red Devils are thought to have given up on their pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. Who is adamant about staying at Barcelona for the foreseeable future and has turned their attention to a deal for Rabiot in recent weeks.
