NFL Week 3 Predictions 2022

NFL Week 3 Predictions 2022

So far this season, underdogs have been the best bet, going 17-11-1 ATS. Through the first two weeks, UNDERS have been more successful than OVERS in terms of totals, and if you bet UNDERS at closing blindly, you’ve gone 20-9-1.

The Bengals, Titans, Raiders, Panthers, and Falcons are three of this year’s 0-2 teams that recently advanced to the AFC playoffs. The Colts and Texans are also 0-1-1.

Teams that start 0-2 ATS have a winning Week 3 trend as well. These clubs have an ATS record of 71-55-1 (56.3%) when playing a team that is not also 0-2 ATS. The Bengals, Colts, Broncos, Rams, and Patriots are among those this season.

The following are the Week 3 picks for the upcoming matches.

Cleveland Browns(1-1) Vs Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1)

⏱️  Date And Time: 23rd September 2022, 8:15 pm ET

On Sunday, the Jets suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Browns despite their unlikely comeback. However, Cleveland had displayed some promise for three and a half quarters, particularly in the running game, highlighted by Nick Chubb‘s three touchdowns (though he probably wishes he had that last one back).

Pittsburgh struggled against the Patriots’ running attack on Sunday. The Steeler’s offense has only produced two offensive touchdowns thus far, prompting supporters to chant for Mitch Trubisky’s replacement, backup quarterback Kenny Pickett.

On Thursday night, Cleveland’s weather may be chilly and rainy. This is the lowest total this week for a reason. Half-points are even more important in low-scoring games.

🏆 Pick: Steelers

Buffalo Bills (2-0) Vs Miami Dolphins (2-0)

⏱️  Date And Time: 25th September 2022, 1:00 pm ET

In week three of the NFL, the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins square off on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium

In their previous five road games, the Buffalo Bills have won 4. On 75.4 percent of his attempts, Josh Allen throws for 614 yards, seven touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Isaiah McKenzie has four receptions, while Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis have 358 receiving yards and five touchdowns between them. Devin Singletary leads the Buffalo Bills’ ground attack with 67 yards on 14 attempts, and the team’s ground game averages 111 yards per game.

Buffalo’s defense is giving up 8.5 points and 215 yards per game. With 14 tackles, Taron Johnson leads the Buffalo Bills. Von Miller and Jordan Poyer each have two interceptions.

Seven straight victories for the Miami Dolphins in home contests. Tua Tagovailoa is completing 71.1 percent of his passes for 739 yards, seven touchdowns, and two interceptions. Chase Edmonds has five receptions, while Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Jaylen Waddle had 524 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Raheem Mostert leads the Miami Dolphins’ ground attack with 67 yards on 16 attempts, while the team’s ground game averages 75.5 yards per game. Miami’s defense is giving up 22.5 points and 372 yards per game. With 15 tackles, Brandon Jones leads the Miami Dolphins.

🏆 Pick: Miami Dolphins

Jets (1-1) Vs Cincinnati Bengals (0-2)

⏱️  Date And Time: 25th September 2022, 1:00 pm ET

Sunday gives Cincinnati a wonderful opportunity to turn things around against a Jets defense that allows 344.5 total offense yards and 27 points per game. Cincinnati has a record of 0-2-0 to start the year.

The Bengals are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and have won 7 of their last eight games against the AFC.

The Bengals have too many talented offensive players and a weak Jets defense for them to fail to cover the first-half spread on Sunday.

Bengals are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games after a straight-up loss and 8-2 ATS in their last ten games overall.

Although both of these teams have had some difficulty this year, the Bengals defense is respectable, and the Jets offense isn’t as strong as it has been this far.

Bengals have gone 5-0 in their last five games following a straight-up loss, and their last seven games overall have gone under the total.

🏆 Pick: Cincinnati Bengal

Las Vegas Raiders vs Tennessee Titans (+1)

⏱️  Date And Time: 25th September 2022, 1:00 pm ET

The Raiders are not currently in a position to be considered a road favorite, even though the Titans are not very impressive and still have to play the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.

On early-down passing plays, which is a reliable metric for gauging offensive effectiveness, the Titans have the second-best EPA per play.

They should have no trouble scoring against the Raiders in a contest they’ll probably need to win to avoid starting 0-3 overall.

The Raiders, who are also seeking their first victory, will have the top players on the field in Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby, giving fans cause for concern.

🏆 Pick: Las Vegas Raiders

Carolina Panthers (0-2) Vs New Orleans Saints (1-1)

⏱️  Date And Time: 25th September 2022, 1:00 pm ET

The last four away games for the New Orleans Saints have all been victories. For 505 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions on 64.9 percent of his passes, Jameis Winston is doing well.

Chris Olave had eight receptions, while Jarvis Landry and Michael Thomas have combined for 261 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Taysom Hill leads the New Orleans Saints’ ground attack with an average of 95 yards and one touchdown per game.

New Orleans’ defense surrenders 23 points and 338 yards per game. David Onyemata has 0.5 sacks, Justin Evans has one pass deflection, and Pete Werner has 21 tackles to lead the New Orleans Saints in that department.

In their previous seven home games, the Carolina Panthers have lost. For 380 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception on 53.6 percent of his passes, Baker Mayfield is doing well.

Ian Thomas has three receptions, while Robbie Anderson, DJ Moore, and their combined 220 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The running game for the Carolina Panthers averages 100 yards a game, and Christian McCaffrey is the team’s top performer with 135 yards and one score.

Carolina’s defense allows 355 yards and 22.5 points per game. With 20 tackles, Xavier Woods leads the Carolina Panthers. Brian Burns and CJ Henderson each have two sacks.

🏆 Pick: Carolina Panthers

Baltimore Ravens (1-1) Vs New England Patriots (1-1)

⏱️  Date And Time: 25th September 2022, 1:00 pm ET

After an ATS loss, the Ravens are 4-0 ATS in their following four games and 1-6-1 ATS in their previous eight games in week three. In their last ten games following a straight-up loss, Baltimore is 7-3 ATS.

The Patriots, meanwhile, are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games on turf and 4-1 ATS in their previous five home games. In their last five games entering week three, New England is 1-4 ATS.

🏆 Pick: Ravens

Minnesota Vikings (1-1) Vs Detroit Lions (1-1)

⏱️  Date And Time: 25th September 2022, 1:00 pm ET

Detroit presently has a record of 1-0, and their lone loss came by a score of three points in Week 1 to the same Eagles club that had just destroyed Minnesota. Expect this weekend’s game against the Lions to be a closely contested divisional showdown, despite the Vikings’ current 5.5-point spread advantage.

At the same time, whenever Detroit visits Minnesota each season, things frequently appear to go their way. The Vikings have prevailed over the Lions in their last four meetings in the United States. The victories have been by average margins of 11 points at Bank Stadium.

🏆 Pick: Detroit Lions

Washington Commanders (1-1) Vs Philadelphia Eagles (2-0)

⏱️  Date And Time: 25th September 2022, 1:00 pm ET

In its last ten games versus Washington, Philadelphia has won eight. The Eagles have a 2-0 ATS record and a 1-1 OVER record.

Last year, Washington had a 2-3-1 ATS record in divisional games. This season, the Commanders are 1-0 ATS.

Given that Washington’s offensive ranks in the top 10 for both points/yards per game and points/yards per play, it will be difficult to stop them.

The Commanders’ defense is a weakness. This group ranks 32nd in opponent yards per rush, 30th in opponent yards per play, and 27th in opponent points per game.

The Commanders will face difficulties against the league’s second-best running offense, the Eagles.

🏆 Pick: Eagles

Indianapolis Colts (0-1-1) Vs Kansas City (2-0)

⏱️  Date And Time: 25th September 2022, 1:00 pm ET

Kansas City was 5-3 overall and 4-4 against the spread in its last road games.  In two games with a fixed spread, the Chiefs have only once covered the spread.  In games when they were 5.5-point favorites or greater, Kansas City recorded two ATS victories (2-2).

The Chiefs have a perfect ATS record of 1-0 in games they have played as 5.5-point favorites or more.  In eight away games last year, Kansas City hit the over six times. There has been over/under this season in games involving the Chiefs.

🏆 Pick: Kansas City

Chicago Bears (1-1) Vs Houston Texans (0-1-1)

⏱️  Date And Time: 25th September 2022, 1:00 pm ET

Since the 2021 season, the Texans have been winless (0-4-1) when behind by 7 points at the two-minute warning, tied for the worst record in the NFL (League Avg:.492).

Since the 2021 season, the Texans’ record when converting less than 50% of third down conversion opportunities is 1-12-1 (.071), which is the worst in the NFL; the league average is.421.

Last season, the Texans matched for the poorest record in the NFL (winless 0-3) when behind by 7 points at the two-minute warning; league average:.495.

Last season, the Texans had the NFL’s worst winless record (0-10) while scoring fewer than 22 points (league average:.222).

Last season, when they lost at least one fumble, the Bears were winless (0-6)—tied for the lowest record in the NFL; league average:.370.

Since the 2021 season, the Bears have lost all six games (0-6) and are tied for the poorest record in the NFL (League Avg:.374).

Since the 2021 season, the Bears have not won (0-3) when rushing less than 25 times, which is the worst record in the NFL (League Avg:.279).

The Bears had the sixth-worst record in the NFL last season (.308) when the opposing team committed fewer than 60 yards in penalties; the league average was.483.

🏆 Pick: Chicago Bears
