The dependency of the Spanish giants on Karim Benzema is very apparent because they have struggled every time he isn’t available to play. This hyper-dependency was especially visible in last year’s el Classico fixtures against Barcelona, where Karim wasn’t available due to an injury.

This dependency is pretty justified because he has the sharp edge for this Real Madrid side, which executes the operations of the entire team. He’s the one who delivers when the team needs a miracle, and he’s also the one who makes everything constantly click for this team on weekends of domestic or European football.

Real Madrid has been in tremendous form this season, and it looks like they have learned to cope with Benzema’s absence because the French national has been out of action for a little while now. Madrid has the perfect record in La Liga so far as they have won every single one of their games and currently sit at the top of the table.

Benzema Injury Knocked At Bad Time

Karim picked up an injury after a knock during a Madrid match against the Celtics in the champion’s league.

He walked away from that match with visible pain in his right leg. After several tests, it came out that it was a muscle discomfort that forced Benzema to miss multiple matches in the Spanish and the Champion’s leagues.

His injury initially seemed to have come at a bad time because Madrid had a very busy schedule until the World Cup in November. It felt like the absence of their main man could damage Madrid’s form, and even the manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, admitted that there’s no like-for-like replacement available for Benzema as he is arguably the best striker in the world.

Per some reports, Madrid’s win percentage with Karim Benzema in the squad is more than 65%, dropping to less than 40% when he’s part of the squad. However, that has not been the case, and Madrid has survived the major chunk of its busy schedule without Karim in the starting line-up.

They haven’t just survived rather, they have been in glorious form, being the only team in Europe’s top 5 leagues to have a 100% win record.

Karim Benzema Returned To Training

The French striker returned to the training grounds of Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Karim returned from a prolonged period away from the pitch missing many games, including the recent Nation League fixtures for France. Benzema made an appearance along with the rest of his Madrid teammates in what looked like his return to normal squad training for the first time after that injury during the Celtic game earlier this month.

His absence was well handled by the youngsters like Cmavinga, Valverde, and Tochouameni. His return will make things even better for Real Madrid heading into the final stretch of club games before the starting of the World Cup in November.

His clinical finishing up top will make the Spanish team even more fierce and frightening. The France manager will also be delighted to see the start striker returning to his optimum fitness with the world cup approaching swiftly.

Perfect Opportunity To Grab That Golden Ball

He will be a huge part of this French side heading into the world cup because of his sheer form and ability in front of the goal and even in transition plays.

Karim Benzema is a huge favorite for winning this year’s Ballon d’Or thanks to the insane season he had last year, winning both the Champions League and La Liga titles. He could always win the award, but luck hasn’t been on his side because he has played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

However, the age has slowed down the Portuguese and Argentine stars, and it looks like the perfect opportunity for Benzema to grab that golden ball and be officially called the best player in the world.  Millions of real Madrid and fans of France’s national team will be hoping that Benzema can pick up his form right where he left without any problem.
