David Van Cortland Crosby is eighty years old American singer and songwriter, born and brought up in Los Angeles, California. David Crosby’s touring days are finished. “I’m too old to do it anymore,” the 80-year-old musician claimed in a recently released interview. I’m no longer capable of doing so. David was a founding member of both the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, in addition to his solo career. In 1964, Crosby joined the Byrds.

In April 1965, Bob Dylan gave the band their first number one hit with “Mr. Tambourine Man.” Crosby was a member of the Byrds and produced one of the most liked, reunion albums.

The revelation came as an almost casual aside by David at a meeting, with a high school class, of all things. Crosby agreed to be interviewed by a journalism class at Golden High School in Golden, Colorado, led by Mark Brown, a veteran music critic for the Rocky Mountain News in Denver.

He was asked by one of the students of that high school wondering if he was going to tour for which David replied “No.” “I’m not,” he said, “because I’m 80.” It’s due to my advanced age. Taking a bus tour can be intimidating. It’s quite difficult. It saps your strength.”

Crosby also admitted that getting COVID was difficult for him. “It’s been a nightmare. COVID is an unusual disease. It makes you feel completely horrible. It’s been a complete nightmare.no fun at all. If at all possible, you should avoid it.”

Other questions from the students were answered bluntly by the musician, including one concerning why he has been so productive in the recording studio in recent years, which he indicated was also due to his age.

David says he has been breaking records and is very proud of it. In the last couple of years, I’ve made five albums, he said. He also explained the reason that death is inevitable and how everyone’s going to lose their life one day. Someone must have told you. And before I do, I want to blast as much music as possible.

Now that I’m 80 years old, I’m going to die shortly. This is how it works. So, I’m attempting to produce as much music as possible, as long as it’s of high quality, he said. David also revealed saying he is working on a new one.

The rocker’s most recent performance was on September 17, 2019, at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, according to Setlist. FM. Since then, he’s made a few guest appearances with other musicians, which he hasn’t ruled out doing again in the future, even though his headlining days appear to be finished.

He also elaborated when the topic of Spotify came up saying, he had no other option but to sell his collection on Spotify that way he could make a living, especially during the pandemic when he couldn’t do any live performances.
