In the middle of 11-year playoff drought, New York enters 2022. For second-year head coach Robert Saleh, who wants to improve the Jets’ 4-13 record from last year, breaking that skid could be a bit much to ask.

It all begins with the quarterback. Zach Wilson tore his meniscus and bruised a bone during the preseason. Thus, the Jets are sadly starting the season with the seasoned Joe Flacco.

While it’s excellent that Flacco has reportedly impressed in training camp, it’s clear that he won’t be New York’s long-term quarterback solution if Wilson is cleared to play.

Elijah Moore, Breece Hall, and Ahmad are three notable rookies trying to make an impression this year.

In the most recent game, the Jets outlasted the astonished Cleveland Browns, who lost a two-touchdown lead in the last two minutes Sunday, 31-30, thanks to a last-second touchdown pass from Joe Flacco to rookie Garrett Wilson of 15 yards.

The New York Jets are still running for the 2022 NFL season. The team’s amazing comeback victory over the Browns in Cleveland, 31-30, gave them their first September victory in a long time and gave them hope that they would contend for the AFC East.

The upstart 2-0 Miami Dolphins are not far behind the 2-0 Buffalo Bills, who continue to lead the division with a perfect 2-0 record. Work is to be done for the 1-0 New England Patriots and 1-0 Jets.

One week after a rocky debut, Flacco had four touchdown passes. On third-and-10, he connected with a charging Wilson over the middle. The Browns (1-1) opened up a two-score lead earlier when the 10th overall pick fumbled a vital pass.

Cleveland was up 30-17 when the Jets’ wide receiver Corey Davis slipped by the secondary and was hit by Joe Flacco for a 66-yard touchdown, which gave the Jets some optimism and brought them within 30-24.

To make it 31-30, Greg Zuerlein scored the crucial extra point.  Cleveland still had a chance, but Ashtyn Davis intercepted Jacoby Brissett with six seconds left after he suffered a left ankle injury in the fourth.

The Browns came close to going 2-0 for the first time since 1993 when Bill Belichick was their coach. Thus, the defeat was disheartening for them.

On the road against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3, the Jaguars are a +7 underdog. Normally, this line may be steeper, but Chargers standout Justin Herbert’s health is currently in doubt.

Herbert lost in Week 2 and has cracked rib cartilage; he is questionable for the game. Alvin Kamara of the Saints missed Week 2 due to the same ailment. However, the team doesn’t anticipate him to miss any time.

The Washington Commanders defeated the Jaguars 28–22 on the road last week. In the fourth quarter, Jacksonville was up 22-14, but the final 10 minutes saw 14 unanswered points scored.

Trevor Lawrence, a second-year quarterback, completed 275 passes for 1 TD and 1 INT. Christian Kirk, a recently acquired WR with six receptions for 117 yards, was his favorite target.

Week 2’s 24-0 shutout of the Indianapolis Colts by the Jacksonville Jaguars resulted from a fierce defensive effort that featured five sacks and three interceptions.

Christian Kirk, a wide receiver for the Jaguars, grabbed every one of his six targets for 78 yards and two scores. Thirty-five of those yards came following the reception.

Josh Allen had a game-high four pressures for the Jaguars, including two sacks, out of the several pass-rushers who recorded multiple pressures on the day. On initial review, his pass-rushing grade was 85.0.

1st overall selection On the day, Travon Walker contributed three pressures: one hit and two hurries. Additionally, he made two tackles in the running game, stopping one of them.

The offensive line of the Colts was blamed for allowing ten pressures. With each of them giving up three pressures, Matt Pryor and Danny Pinter were the worst offenders.
