The 18th series of ITV’s ratings juggernaut “I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of here!” has been on air now for a week and, as viewers get to know the contestants better, the odds are moving considerably.
The biggest positive change has been in the perception of former football manager Harry Redknapp. Well known to football fans for his sense of humour, Redknapp has charmed his fellow jungle dwellers and those watching at home with his quick wit, kindness and oft-professed love for his wife Sandra. William Hill are currently offering 4/7 on a Redknapp win, while SkyBet has him at 4/5.
Familiarity Breeding Contempt?
However, Coronation Street actress Sair Khan has moved rapidly in the opposite direction. Khan was the initial favourite to win the show, being quoted at 6/1. These odds have now lengthened to 100/1 at William Hill and 150/1 at SkyBet. She is now deemed the most likely to be eliminated first from the programme, at odds of 6/4.
Previous favourite James McVey, the singer for The Vamps, has also seen his odds lengthen considerably, and is now available at around 20/1.
Well-known television personalities Nick Knowles and John Barrowman still have some hope of being crowned King of the Jungle. As second and third favourites, Knowles is being offered at 5/1 and Barrowman at 9/1.
